If I work 7 straight hours do i need to take a 30 min lunch break? Can my employer have the option of making me work 7 hours straight with just two 10 min. break, if i ask it from them.

If you are a non-exempt (hourly) employee, employers must provide a 30 minute uninterrupted meal break for 5 or more hours worked, subject to strict limitations.

you are entitled to a 30 minute lunch after approximately 4 hours, and two 10 minute breaks approximately in the middle of the work periods. Denial or failure to allow gives you grounds for legal action. Feel free to contact me if serious about doing so. If other workers are also denied, join forces to take action.
