Legal Question in Employment Law in California
I worked for a temp agency. Was terminated from an assignment for falling asleep. The prisonI was terminated from informed me my agency should have let me know approx a week before. They aloowed me to work. Then fired me again, not sure. I still haven't heard from my Temp agency by call, email, text, or letter that they fired me. I didn't no I was no longer working with them until EDD told me and denied benefits. Doesn't my temp agency have to tell me i'm fired, or is it acceptable that prison let me go.

Fired is fired. It doesn't matter who tells you. If you are denied EDD benefits, you could appeal if you could show EDD was mistaken about the facts.
