Legal Question in Employment Law in California

If our workers were sent home due to a problem with our main power breaker within our building (we own the building) is there a required minimum number of hours for which they must be paid? They typically work an 8 hour day. Some are factory workers and some are office workers. THANKS!

Payment of a minimum 2 hours is generally the rule if they worked less than that. Payment for all hours worked for over 2.
