Working for a Mexican Business
Someone I know Works for a Mexican Business. The reason she works for this place is because they need someone that ''is a U.S. Citizen to work for them in San Diego on Saturday''.
*She doesn't get paid extra because of it being the weekend
*She gets paid minimum waige, but it is paid to her in pesos and she changes it to dollars.
*She isn't working her Social Security
*She doesn't get any U.S. benefits
*Her pay check is Mexican
*they state that the way they are paying her is in accordance to the Mexican Law, but when it is a Holliday in Mexico she doesn't get paid extra,when it comes to any benefits she gets as few as possible, hardly any.
It seems to her that they are using the law to their benefit and not to hers.
MY QUESTION IS: If she is working in the United States for 1 whole day on a Saturday, shouldn't she be working her Social Security, getting paid in dollars, even if she is working for a Mexican Bussiness?

US law applies. She must be paid in US dollars, and must work 'on SS #' to be legal. Have her file a claim with the Labor Commissioner.
