Legal Question in Employment Law in California

Wrongfull Termination / Discrimination

I was injured at work, on employer proerty/facility. Injury was after hours but I believe it is under the ''Bunkhouse'' rule. Hospitalized for 2 days. Supervisor informed. Never recieved ''First report of injury'' form to complete. Followed directions given by supervisor. One week later recieved letter that my position was terminated. Employer has not paid med. bills and I have not recieved any disability payments. Employer is self insured. I believe there is also discrimination involved due to the orientation/training requirements I never recieved that are stated in the employee manual. Can I be terminated while disabled? Is the employer not OBLIGATED to insure I recieve the training/orientation as stated in the manual? Thank you for any information you can give me.

Re: Wrongfull Termination / Discrimination

It is probably a work injury covered by WCAB rules. You need to file an injury claim with penalty request for the improper firing. Get competent WCAB counsel to do so.
