Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in California

How do I find out if my landlord's home is going into foreclosure?

My landlord is not being honest with me. I've had someone come to the house who specializes in loss mitigation and I want to know if the home I'm renting is going into foreclosure. Is there any way to find this out, since my landlord won't tell me?What are my rights and should I move out even though my lease isn't up until August of this year?

Stop worrying!

Most foreclosures take over four months, and, frequently, the new owner is happy to have you as a renter.

Furthermore, landlord may be considering foreclosure and then is able to avoid it.

However, it is a public record, so go to your local Hall of Records and look it up.
