heatwave air-conditioner broke

i rented a cindo with a 2 year lease, which i wasnt given a copy of. it was a verbal agreement between me and the realtor that central air worked.it was left unchecked in the addendum to lease check list on working items.now with a heatwave 23 days over 100 degrees in the month of july can i withhold fent til the central air is fixed?

Talk to the landlord about making repairs and doing what you suggest.
