Landlord Favoritism
Can a londlord give favoritism to other tenants (relatives)? I have a landlord (apt. complex) that only opens the pool when it is convienent for her and lets family members swim past closing time. She also ''enforces'' rules to other tenants i.e. sitting on the stairs (loitering) but when its her family its over looked, tells you you cant swim unless you are wearing a bathing suit and there are others who swim in shorts and a t-shirt all the time, etc. She also repairs other units quickly and in my case lets it go for about 4 weeks and uses someone she knows rather then a professional.

Assuming, there is nothing contrary in a lease, your landlord sounds like most human beings. In general, we take care of our family and friends first. What is wrong with that?
As to repairs, the real question is what needs repairs. If it is minor, 30 days is okay. If major, it must be repaired immediately.
