Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in California
landlord/tenant laws applied
If my landlord's attorney has filed a unlawful detainer action against me but my landlord negotiates my rent check before judgement date does this void or terminate any further eviction process or the attorney's fee I would have to pay beyond the time my landlord negotiating rent check

Good advice from Mr. Cohen!

If the landlord has accepted and negotiated the rent check, that voids the unlawful detainer. You can go to trial and show the court that he cashed your check. The case should be dismissed. To save everyone time and effort, you might telephone the landlord's attorney and advise the attorney of that fact. But make sure you're all caught up before doing so.
