Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in California
I have leased the same house for 6 years, the last year and a half have been month to month. The owner has notified us he is selling the house. Since we are month to month are we still bound by the lease we signed almost 2 years ago, to have the carpets professionally cleaned upon moving out?

Generally, yes. Unless a new rental agreement was signed, the old lease simply continues in effect month to month.
