leaving before lease is over

I signed a three month lease and since the lease has been signed the landlord has had the cops at the house for abusing his girlfriend - I am not comfortable here and need to know how to handle it - I have to break my lease and leave to go to another place of livin

A three month lease is worthless, because three months is nothing in rent time. Depending on how much your rent is, you might as well give a 30 day notice and move out. You have a defense of breach of lease in the LL's breach of your peace and quiet enjoyment. Good luck.
