Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in California
I live in California. My landlord has presented me titles paper titled "rental application" where he asked me for my social security number, license number, credit card info and various other private information. Fearing identity theft I am wondering if this is legal. Am I bound by law to give him this information?

If you're already renting the place and have a signed rental agreement, there's no need to complete a rental application.
