Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in California

Moving to safety

My apartment was recently broken into. I am 90% sure the person responsilble is someone I know in my neighborhood. I asked my landlord if I could relocate to another empty apt. and i assured him that no one would know where i moved because i see what can happen. Do I have a standing to get him to do that? What are my options?

No. But you and the landlord can work out an agreement regarding installation of security devices.
