Rental Agreement

I signed a paper that said I will move into a room for rent on 4/25/9 & paid the owner of the home 1/2 the required deposit. If I ccancelled this on 4/20/9, can she keep my deposit?

Re: Rental Agreement

You have to give her 30 days notice and she has to use reasonable efforts to attempt to rent that unit out as soon as possible to a reasonable tenant. You owe rent for either the period needed to re-rent or thirty days after giving notice, which ever is less. If the totla amount of money you gave her exceeds that figure, she must return within 21 days the difference.
