Legal Question in Legal Ethics in California

car ins
if I requested car ins from a company they told me I would get my quote in about 6 weeks but I needed ins now and nothing came except 6 months later I receive a bill for the amount of $4793.00 never did I receive a declaration page or anything to the fact of what the ins was going to cost me and I did call a few times to get infor from them and they said it was being done manually and I would just have to wait. This was thru AARP The Hartford Ins and my ins was on this and I needed to add my son and his vechiles and again never received anything till Jan. 08 was the bill. I am not sure what to do I can't afford that kind of money and I would not of got any ins in that manner it is way beyond my means. What do I do?

When did you receive the bill for $4,793?

Did you call AARP or Hartford when you received this?

Have you had any losses, or claims, involving your vehicles, or those of your son?
