Legal Question in Legal Ethics in California

my company has installed survalliance and and equipment that records all conversation thaat goes on at every checkstand. They have a sign on our monitors. Do they also have to inform the customers that they to are being recorded.

If they are recording the customers conversations then yes they do. To record someone�s conversation without their consent is a crime.

By the way who is doing this and maybe I will file a class action against them!
