Legal Question in Legal Ethics in California

Do legal aid workers do your paper work?

I have a quetion concerning people who work in a legal aid office.I'm in the process of suing my former landlord in small claims court.I contacted legal aid who has helped me the past and typed out my paper work. Now the only problem is that I am suing one of the employees brother and the office staff know. The lady that did the over the phone consult told me to come in and asked for the name of the person I was suing. After that I felt cold shoulder went in was told to go to court house and to pick up small claim forms. To come back if needed help,so I went back since I wasn't sure how to fill out.All this person did is point out what needed to be filled out and said good luck.I thought they typed out you paper work.Am i wrong

Re: Do legal aid workers do your paper work?

Only an attorney or a small claims legal advisor provided by the court can give you legal advice or tell you how to fill out the forms. You can also fill out the forms online, print them and take them to the court.
