Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in California

Childbirth

I gave birth in august 2008. My labor was induced. I was given my first cytotec pill @ 7pm. By 930 i was 4cm, 6cm by 10pm, then the nurse stated that i was completely dialated with a buldging amniotic bag at 1130-1200 midnight. I was given an epidural, but it i continued to need a bolis of medicine because the pain continued to come back. I kept asking when the nurse would be calling the dr to come in, and she stated, quote '' we don't call the dr to come in just to break your water bag'' '' he is sleeping'' '' yuour bag will break on it's own with the pressure, and if not, we will call him around 530am. The dr came in shortly after that and as soon as he broke my bad, he told me i was ready to push and deliver. They pushed with me for about 30 min, then left me and my spouse in the room and told me to push on my own with each onctraction. I need advice because i was left in pain, unconfortable and ended up with serious complications. Immediately after birth, i had no sensation in my bladder.Urethra. For 3 1/2 months following delivery, i had loss of nerve sensation and control. It was considered nerve problems, not stress incontinance. I was referred to 2 specialists because the hospital i delivered and the obgyn couldn't help me!!!!

Re: Childbirth

If you're asking if you have a malpractice case, the answer will come only from your subsequently treating doctors or an expert doctor you consult. Your opinion and mine are irrelevant. You can't file suit without such medical opinion of malpractice. If and when you get one, feel free to contact me if serious about pursuing whatever claim they tell you they will testify to. If you need a referral to a consulting expert, contact me to discuss.
