Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in California
My chiropractor's office mistook me for another patient and treated me as that person. What recourse do I have?

You should tell the chiropractor, ask for an apology, find out exactly what the different treatment was, ask for payment to go to an MD to see if there was any injury, ans switch chiropractors. You could sue for malpractice but would have to do so within a year of the incident. Frankly, since all chiropractor really do is provide physical therapy with a very confident attitude [so many people do feel short term improvement], it is unlikely any physical damage was caused. You should rethink going to anyone who has such a high volume practice that both their staff and they do not recognize you nor consult your chart before giving treatment.
If you have substantial provable medical and financial damages, then you could consider a medical malpractice case. Otherwise, tell him and don't go back.
