Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in California

I am sorry I could not find the exact catagory I was looking for. I recently paid in advance for a medical procedure (cosmetic) that was never rendered. It was their determination that it could not be rendered, and promised me a refund. I flew home, and they were giving me dates to receive my refund, and now have stopped responding. It has been over two months, and I am wondering how long they legally have to give me a refund before I have legal recourse.

They have a reasonable period of time. There is no set amount of time, but two months would be long enough to wait. Tell them you want the money back within 5 business days or you will take the next steps which include complaining to the governmental entity that regulates them and filing suit.

If they keep ignoring you, I'll represent you either on a contingency or hourly, your choice. Also, check your contract for attorney fees, you may end up getting it all back.

There is no time limit, other than your patience. Sue if necessary.
