Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in California
A PEG tube was incorrectly inserted in my husband which caused septic shock and nearly killed him. X-rays were never taken after the tube was inserted to make sure it was properly inserted. He was in the hospital for five months and is still recovering at home. Do I have a good case?

"Good case?" Neither your opinion, nor mine, matters. IF he is told by an 'expert' in that field that there was negligence / malpractice, then and only then does he have a 'good case'. You need to consult for a 'second opinion' with another doctor in that specialty to see what they are willing to say. You may have to go to a 'paid consulting expert' to get an answer, as many doctors do not wish to 'get involved'. If serious about pursuing this, feel free to contact me for help, including obtaining a consulting opinion.
