Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in California
Slug/ sewed in duct after gallblader removed is the Malpractice
Is this Malpractice I had my Gallblader removed July 8,2006 the doctor said half was dead. the Doctor sewed the duct up with slug/ sand/gravel that goes to the liver. On January 8, 2007 another doctor had to go in and open the duct to remove the slug/ sand /gravel which I was told if I didn't get it done it could be fatal if not done because it was clogging my liver and I had major pain

If all is as you state it to be, more likely than not you would have a claim for medical negligence. Much of course depends on what the records say and why the first surgeon did the procedure as you state. There may be reasons for what he did but one will not know until you obtain your medical records and have them reviewed.
Did the second surgeon criticize what the first surgeon did or provide any explanation/justification?

Only if you obtain an opinion from a qualified surgeon, stating that the quality and standard of care in the operation was negligent will you have any basis for a med mal claim. Without such doctor's opinion, you can't even file the case. IF your second surgeon told you that, or if he does so if asked, then feel free to contact me to discuss your facts and remedies.
