Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in California
My wife came to the hospital to be induced into labor and is now in a vegatative state. She attempted natural delivery without much progress so it was recommended that she have a c-section. When in the OR she expressed she could feel her abdomen even with an epideral so she was placed under general anesthesia. She then went into arrest and had CPR performed for approxamitly 10 minutes before being revived. She was then transferred to ICU where went into cardiac arrest again in which they used a defibrilator to revive her a second time which so took approx. 10 minutes. After a week she has stabalized but has apperant brain damage due to
lack of oxygen to her brain during the arrest and is currently in a vegatative state.

Please feel free to contact me to discuss the terrible situation. FYI: When you are claiming malpractice, your claim must be supported by the formal opinion of a doctor who is an 'expert' in that field of medicine, who is willing to testify that there was medical malpractice, meaning the treatment fell below the 'acceptable standard of care' and caused the damage or death. Neither your opinion about malpractice, nor mine, is relevant or 'proof' of malpractice, but it sure appears there must have been malpractice to have caused this. You will need to consult with your wife's other treating doctor[s] to see if they are willing to provide that opinion and testimony, or refer you to someone who can, or you can contact independent experts for that purpose. I can provide referrals and assistance in that process. Then, if your suspicions are confirmed that this was from malpractice, you will have the grounds to take legal action. You have only one year to bring suit. Let us help you in this matter.
I am very sorry to hear of this tragic occurence. How is your baby? Has another doctor told you that her treatment was below the standard of care in the medical community? Contact me directly.
