Legal Question in Military Law in California
Military Law for Divorce
I am an active duty Marine currently stationed in Ca. I recently filed for divorce and am also be relocated to another state. My wife petitioned the court to allow her to move her and the kids to her home state inorder to be closer to her family. This means that I would very rarely have the oppurtunity to see my kids because they are so far away. Is there anything I can do to keep her or the kids closer to where I am stationed?

Re: Military Law for Divorce
I don't know all of the facts of the case, therefore, I can only speak in general terms. When your wife files the petition, you need to object to the petition and be represented by counsel. Otherwise without a defense, she will be allowed to transfer your family to be near her relatives.
