Legal Question in Personal Injury in California

In 1967, I was gang raped and pretty badly beat up. In order to continue the case, I had to take a lie detector test, which I understand is now unethical. That lie detector test put a riff between my mother and I, she then decided to drop my case. I was 17. It has affected my socialization. Do I have any recourse against the City of Los Angeles?

No. Any civil lawsuit and claim is now about 45 years too late.
