If I appoint a guardian ad litem for my child, can I self represent for myself and my child both in personal injury case without a lawyer?

The short answer would be no, unless you are a lawyer yourself.
You may have a settlement approved for a minor without an attorney with the help of an insurance adjuster if you have come to a settlement and wish to have it approved by the court. However, I would never recomend such a move since the adjuster does not have the best interests of the minor in mind.
