Legal Question in Personal Injury in California
auto accident
hello
wife hit by unlicensed minor driving parents vehicle apparently uninsured. police report places blame soley on other driver. wife had only reqd. liability coverage. attempts to get ins. info from parents of other driver not sucessful, other party evasive. wifes car totaled,wife taken from accident to hosptal by ambulance released next day, fired from job due to inability to go for 3 days. bills piling up, not contacted by other ins co. if any. unable to find local attorney interested in claim as no major injury existing. what can we do?

If your damages are under $5,000, you might consider small claims, if over, try other attorneys.

Your wife's personal injury and property damages are the responsibility of the other driver and car owner. If they have insurance, you should be able to recover through them, up to the policy limits. If the people have no insurance, collection is from them. The car owning parents are only liable up to a max of $15k, but the driver has no max cap.
