Legal Question in Personal Injury in California

Billboard fell on me.

I was in a department store and a billboard fell on my foot. It hurt but at the time, i was in shock and just wanted to get back to work. The employees were helpful, and asked if i needed medical attention. I refused and went on my way.

The next day i went to the doctor and he advised that i stay off the foot for 3 days (had to take 3 days off of work), and perscribed some pain meds.

My question is what is the next step? What should I do?

contact the department store and ask for the name of their insurance andthe contact info they might have med pay coverage and at this point mght be willing to at least pay you your lost wages and some generaldamages
