Legal Question in Personal Injury in California
Car accident
I am trying to settle wit the insurance company, but the one hurtle is my income that was lost due to my injurys, I was rearended, Anyways I am a realtor self employed and have submitted an affidavit of the same but they say i need some proof, Its hard to say in my case, Any idea's

I agree with the lawyers above. This is a problem for self employed persons; showing income. You should know that in California you have a constitutional right to privacy as to your bank records and tax returns in a case such as this.
Bottom line; why are you doing this without a lawyer?

You can provide them with copies of your bank statements showing deposits. You can cut out your expenditures and withdrawals from the copy for privacy reasons. Copies of checks showing payments to you also would be proof.

The other two attorneys gave you the proper advice, but I would like to add... hire a lawyer!
Many try to circumvent the education and experience of an attorney in order to avoid giving up part of the settlement. However, more times than not, the plaintiff, or applicant, depending, usually gets a lesser result than what they would have netted if they would have hired counsel. Please note however, that the above is not always the case, but most of the time.
