Legal Question in Personal Injury in California

My daughter�s friend who is 26 years old; he was with his 2 year old niece. They stopped by my house to visit while no adults in the house except my 15 yr old son. The baby fell in the pool due to the 26 yr old negligence; he was not watching the baby. Thank god the baby survived; the baby was taken to the hospital then had multiple doctor visits. Now the baby�s parent is asking us to use our home insurance policy to pay for the medical bills. what are our rights and liabilities? We live in riverside county, California

Anybody can sue anybody for anything. If they are making a claim on you, turn it over to your insurance. That's what you pay those big bills for.
