dog bite

does landlord of house is liable for tenent's 'dog bite' on the street away from the house?

It isn't clear whether the tenant is the owner of the dog or the person who was bitten.

If the tenant is the victim, there is no way the landlord could be liable unless he owned the dog or he somehow let it escape from his property.

If the tenant was the dog owner, the only way the landlord can only be at fault is if some defect in the property allowed the dog to escape. Even then, he would probably share liability with the owner.
