Fall down unmarked steps at a store

Husband who is legally blind and is disabled uses a walker was looking for wire and was taken to a sight that had no warning there were steps and fell injuring himself.Tore pants injured right arm above elbow. Several abrasions on his hands. Can we sue for negligence for not having the area painted or some type of post warning of the steps?

If he is blind, how would posted warnings have changed anything? Unless you can show the stairs were somehow in violation of the safety and building codes [unlikely], or unless store employees placed him in danger and abandoned him, there would be no case.
