Legal Question in Personal Injury in California

Good Morning, As a client of a Los Angeles attorney my case was won and settled the week of August 20th, 2012. All outstanding vendors have been paid but i have received only a partial payment on my complete personal settlement. When i inquire about my final substantial check im told the final accounting ledger is not complete. Does it take over 2 1/2 months? I'M also given other excuses as well. Any educated reason for this as im actually upset and worried.

It can take several months. I would advise politely insisting on answers as to what is occurring.
