Legal Question in Personal Injury in California

I hit a car that ran the red light. They have 3 witnesses and I have two.

During morning commute hr, a car ran a red light and iI hit him on the driver side. My light was green when I looked at it 50 feet away ( I made a right turn and was going to change lane) I was alone and he had a woman passanger. Neither spoke English (?) and a third person from a corner at the 4 way intersection helped them get information and witnesses. Will I be automatically found at fault under this circumstance? How can I claim for the damage done to my car if I can supply them with my own witnesses? I don't have the collision coverage although the car is only a year old.

The number of witnesses for each side is irrelevant to whether you are at fault. You haven't said whether any of the other witnesses deny that you had the green light, so you have given no reason to think anyone will blame you for this accident.

If the other driver's insurance believes you were at fault and won't pay, you can sue the driver. If he or any of his passengers sues you, hand over the case to your insurance company and it will get you a lawyer.

You still have insurance, even if not to fix your car, so turn it over to them if you are sued. To recover anything from them, you need to take the offense and demand it. You will probably need an attorney, but will have to deal with fees. Unless you have injuries, there is nothing induce an attorney to do this on contingency. Contact me if you need to discuss
