Legal Question in Personal Injury in California
How Come
I got involved in a motor vehicle accident a year ago and met a lawyer who accepted to represent me and recieve his fees once i have won the case.Not before insisting on my having to visit with a specific chiropractor. Now that i have been settled,the chiropractor's fee seemed to be larger or equal to my pain and suffuring eventhough the attorney did not tell me neither did i sign any contract with the chiropractor to keep almost half of my settlement.
To make it worse,i have not seen the attorney in person even when i needed to. I have left messages on his answering service with no reply. But to only be told that he is a very busy man

Your recovery and your fees and costs are determined by your Retainer Agreement with the attorney, and your contract with the chiro. You have a right to bring a fee dispute with the attorney through the local bar association, and the right to dispute the chiro charges directly. Your attorney is supposed to help you in this.
