Personal lawsuit over car accident
My brother, while visiting the US, hit a car in the rear.
He was driving a car he bought for the trip, and he had Insurance, The hit was light to moderate, he was probably doing 30 mile/hr but the other driver is suing my brother for a legendary sum on 6 figures.
1. My brother has very little money, and no assets
2. As I mentioned he has insurance with up to 300k coverage
3. The policeman writing the report mentioned that accidents in that specific place are very common, as 2 lanes merging into one and drivers stop abruptly.
4. It's a cler case of the plaintiff trying to suck money with no real ''hard'' damage done
What should we do ?

Your brother's insurance company will defend the suit. Notify them at once, if you have not done so already.
