Legal Question in Personal Injury in California

I was rearended on the freeway by a airport shuttle van. I was driving an old car and the repairs will far exceed the bluebook value. I spent the afternoon in the ER with neck and back pain. Released from hospital with concussion and have been since diagnosed by primary Dr with post concussion syndrome. The report is clear that the van is at fault in rerarending me 2x but their insurer "old republic" has not returned any of my or my ins agt's calls. I have hospital bills for the er visit, e-rays, follow up and future follow ups for the PCS. Should I continue to try and contact Old Republic on my own? and if so, what can I expect them to offer me for the car, pain and suffering and the PCS.

Call me and we can talk it over. This is definitely an attorney case, much too serious for go-it-alone handling. I can help you deal with the insurance company, coordinate your medical care, and present the case for maximum value. Call (877) LION-FOR-LAW (546-6367)

You are entitled to damages for the market value of your car, your medical bills and pain and suffering. An experienced personal injury attorney can assist you in maximizing your recovery. Feel free to contact me for a free consultation at (949) 370-7488. This is not the type of case you would handle on your own. The insurance company is not your friend. I will be glad to give you a free consultation if you call me at 818.943.0462. That is my cell number. I have a busy schedule tomorrow, but please call me tomorrow morning.

Hello, this experience is well familiar to me. Old Republic is not a "real" insurance company but a third party administrating acting for the parent company. Dealing with them is frustrating, and usually filing a lawsuit and pursuing the claim through court is the only way to get fair compensation.

Thanks, and if you have any questions, feel free to follow up.

Thanks,

Arkady Itkin

You obviously have rights which we can all explain. But since I was a former national claims training administrator at another large carrier I can explain how they think besides what their duties are. (we had claims adjusters contact claimants such as you within 24 hours). This Old Republic claims person needs a wake up call in the form of a lawyer's letter of representation. Feel free to call if you have any questions. I hope this helps you. Bob. (818) 222-2433

First, I agree with others that say you need a lawyer to get what's rightfully should be offered. Second, talk to your friends and those that you trust for a referral to a competent personal injury lawyer. Third, check the lawyer out before hiring one. There are web sites that rate lawyers competency, performance, etc. For example you can go to www.avvo.com and see how the lawyer whom you consider hiring is rated as well as read client testimonials.

Good luck and recover fast.
