Legal Question in Personal Injury in California
How can I stop a Little League Board from defaming me?
The Local LL Board of Dir. has been harrassing and defaming my family. A board member has a personal vendetta and has written letters (on league letterhead) to my husbands contractors saying that the money the companies donated to the team was never recieved by them which is untrue. It implies that the money was misappropriated by us. The board also tried to make my son ineligible for all stars and tried to remove my other from his team. They are spreading lies all around. I have asked them verbally and in writing to stop but they won't. How can I put an end to this?

As stated you have a variety of options at your disposal, which essentially comes down to: out-of-court or court-ordered. The former would be most economical but least forceful.
You should always obtain legal counsel familiar with your specific circumstances. We may be able to assist you with your legal issues. If we can assist you now or in the future, please contact us at www.unalaw.com and somebody will assist you as soon as possible.

I would suggest a cease and desist letter followed by investigation and lawsuite.

from the facts given so far, you should retain an attorney to initiate a defamation and/or invasion of privacy (false light) suit to end this matter as swiftly as possible. if you would like assistance in this matter, email me on how you would like to proceed.

If you have already tried yourself to get them to stop, then hire an attorney to threaten legal action and file suit if need be. Contact me if interested in doing so.

Thank you for your posting.
Given the facts stated by you, you may be able to get restraining orders, with cease and desist instructions, from a court, against the individuals involved.
You also have a right to sue for your monetary damages, if any, against the board or the individual members.
