You can sue for anything. In order to SUCCESSFULLY sue, you would have to prove the government did something legally wrong, or failed to do something they are legally obligated to do, and that caused your fall and injury. You also have to follow special claims procedures with very short time limits in order to be able to sue the government. If you miss or have missed those claim filing deadlines you are out of luck.
