Legal Question in Personal Injury in California

After winning a personal injury lawsuit and our attorneys recieving our signed consent to the agreed upon settlement amount, how long does the law in California say our attorneys have to actually give us, their client, the awarded amount minus attorney fees of course?

The 'law' says nothing on the issue.

The attorney 'rules of behavior' indicated that attorneys should 'promptly' and ''in good faith' fulfill their duty to clients.

If you have requested the attorney pay you, and he hasn't, and hasn't explained why not, and you 'reasonably' reach the conclusion he doesn't intend to, then you could request aid from the State Bar of California by contacting them with your issue. Please do not do so until and unless you have gone through the process with the attorneyt, including 'threatening' to go to the State Bar if necessary,
