Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California

I'm 2 payments behind on my car payments and it was repo this morning. now this is the 2nd time it has been repo, I called the bank to make the late payments and now they want the full amount owed on the contract to get the car back. The guy at the bank has a nasty attitude, is this legal or is guy just being an ass?

It is their choice whether to let you pay only the past due, or the full amount. Negotiate the best deal you can.

Look at your contract to see what it says, but it probably does require full payment.
