Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California

auto loan

I would like to a buy a new car and let my daughter drive it. Is this illegal. I know its my loan, credit and reswponsibility. The dealer told me it was illegal is that true?

He is obviously wrong or no one could ever lend a car. You will bear legal liability for damage if she hits anyone.
