Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California
I bought a sailboat in California almost a year ago, closed with a marine title company and used a bank for the loan. Now I am getting bills from both the state of California and the count I live in saying a have to pay a luxury tax. I pad 28,000 for the boat. The title company admits they messed up. I am still liable to pay. If it was done with the loan it would of been rolled in and barely increased my payment. Now I owe over 3000, what can I do

You should repost this question in the appropriate category. A sail boat is the furthest thing from real property that I can think of.

make a claim on the title company policy for payment of the 'hidden' claim.
