Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California

Commercial Proposal

I recently submitted a Proposal on a commercial property to a broker on behalf of my client. The principle(s) (husband and wife_ who own the property are also both liscensed in the state of California where the husband is a broker and the wife is a salesperson, but they have a commercial representative. From the initial submission, the owner husband requested a meeting with my client. We declined and asked for them to first respond to our offer in writing. The owner then contacted my client directly to request a meeting. We again declined. I also made it very clear to please do not contact our client directly but to go through the agents. The wife who is also a PHD and different last name left an ''urgent'' message for my client under Dr. ..... called. Unknowingly responding to the call he discovered it was the principle's wife calling now to arrange a meeting. He declined and asked her to please go through our agents. He sent me an email supporting this which I also forwarded to their agent asking them to stop contacting our client directly and to please respond in writing through the agents. She just sent another email to our client requesting a meeting and CC'd the brokers. Is there anything in CA law to stop them

No. If you're willing to, you could file a complaint with DRE.

Re: Commercial Proposal

Not, illegal, but unethical, and more than likely contrary to a DRE rule; I suggest you contact the DRE directly.
