Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California

Corporate Lien

I sued Wells Fargo for $7400 dollars in small clamis court and won in April. They requested another court date in June which was denied. It does not appear as though Wells Fargo is planning to pay me for this judgement. I am told I need to place a lien on Wells Fargo in order to collect. How do I do this?

File and serve a Memorandum of Interest and Accrued Costs -- read the book Collect Your Judgment, it's at the library or from nolo.com .

Fill out a Writ of Execution and have the clerk issue it, I think the fee is $8, then take it down the hall to the Sheriff and instruct them to levy on your favorite Wells Fargo Bank branch (you would provide the address) -- it's called a "till tap." There is a fee of maybe $40 which you will get back. The Sheriff will take the money out of their cash drawer, by force if necessary, and send you a check.

It's the next best thing to legalized bank robbery!
