Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California

Hi my dad gifted me 19 acres 5 years ago but I've been living here for 10 years. My dad inherited it from my grandma 10 years ago. Now my dad and I aren't talking and he wants the property back. He has told his lawyer that he gave it to me to hide it from debt collectors. It has been in my name for 5 years and I pay property taxes and insurance. Can he take the property back legally?

From what you have described it sounds like it would be difficult for him to take the property back now. That being said, there are many possibilities missing from this question and to be assured you should consult with an attorney who can also look at all of the "transfer" papers.
