Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California

Can a landlord who uses Section 8 lose that privilege if s/he mismanages or does not comply with the general standards of the housing authority guidelines? What would be considered extreme and what are the consequences? Fines?

(regarding bad Sec 8 neighbor & equally bad/negligent landlord)

Section 8 does not have to accept all landlords who make units available and there are certain physical standards as to the unit that must be complied with or the landlord or tenant are removed from the program. Speak to the local section 8 agency to find out what can be done; see if they want some pictures e-mail to them.
