Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California

i live in california. I am seperated from my wife. the Vehicle that we had bought together and when we split up she was paying , she wreck it while being drunk. The insurance sent a check in both of our names. it was issued to myself or her as names on it. I cashed it . do i owe her any money

This is not a real estate question, because real estate and real property involves questions involving interests in land, not cars.

The check is most likely community property, and should have been split with her.
