Do i have to pay any tax on sale of property in pakistan acquired prior to immigration to usa. i am now a us citizen. property acquired being a widow of a military officer who died while on active service, in 1974. sale in 2013.

Essentially, you pay U.S. tax at capital-gains rates on any increase in value between the date of inheritance and the date of sale.

As a US Citizen you are generally taxed on your world wide income. There may be treaties which vary the general rule. See your accountant. .
