Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California
property managements liability in return of security deposits
I recently have had problems with a property management company Property Management Experts of stockton Ca. They breached their contract, when I informed them they were in breach they imeadiatly canceled their service my tennant had moved out mostly due to this firms failure to manage the property. Property Management Experts held the security deposit past the 21 day legal limit, dispite my efforts to get this taken care of in a timely manner, and then returned only a portion of the deposit saying that there were insuficient funds in my account, leaving me holding the bag for 330 dollars and receiving nothing for the damages done to my property. so a; are they liable for their mistake and b; do I have any recourse against them

Sounds like you have a negligence and/or breach of contract claim. Gather all your evidence and take them to small claims court.
Good luck.
